![["The Comanche Indian Housing Authority is experiencing issues with 83 units of housing that were constructed with crawl spaces underneath the foundation, causing settling and deterioration. The Housing Authority believes HUD should take financial responsibility for repairs, while local HUD officials claim it is due to inadequate maintenance. Efforts to resolve the issue with HUD have been met with delays, causing frustration for the Housing Authority and tenants living in deteriorating conditions. ![["Several school districts and higher education institutions have failed to return an assurance of compliance with Title IX form, which prohibits discrimination based on sex. The Office of Civil Rights in the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare is taking steps to enforce compliance, including withholding approval of new programs and funding. Noncompliance could eventually lead to the termination of all federal funds to the non-compliant institutions.
