- Description:
- Congressman Carl Albert and the Oklahoma Congressional delegation met with officials from the Indian Affairs and Five Civilized Tribes Agency to discuss the process of making per capita payments to the Choctaws and Chickasaws. Superintendent Roberts will set up an office in Muskogee to handle the payments, with the first checks expected to be sent out in July for $350 each to living enrolled members. Heirs will receive payments after living members have been paid.
