- Description:
- Miss Ramona J. McIntyre wrote to Honorable Carl Albert expressing concern about the proposed reduction in force at Talihina Indian Hospital. Carl Albert reassured her that adjustments will be made and some employees will be retained, with opportunities for nursing assistants to attend nursing school in Albuquerque. He also clarified that Congress had appropriated more money for the Indian Health Service that year. McIntyre had previously written to request more funds for the deficient operation of Talihina Medical Center.
