- Description:
- Miss Lena M. Frazier of Talihina Medical Center in Oklahoma wrote to Congressman Carl Albert about the reduction in force at Talihina Indian Hospital. Congressman Albert responded, stating that adjustments will be made to retain some employees and offer opportunities for nursing assistants to attend nursing school. He also mentioned that Congress had appropriated more money for the Indian Health Service that year. Congressman Albert assured Miss Frazier that he would do everything in his power to save as many jobs as possible at the hospital.
