- The document consists of a series of letters between Mr. J. L. Pebworth and Honorable Carl Albert regarding a treaty of friendship from 1861 between the Choctaw Nation and the Confederate States. Mr. Pebworth is seeking clarification on certain aspects of the treaty and Mr. Albert is promising to study the matter further and provide any additional information if necessary.
