In response, Charles L. Ward, on behalf of Congressman Albert, acknowledged her letter and stated that her questions are being addressed with the Muskogee, Oklahoma Indian office. A copy of Childers' letter was also forwarded to the Area Director in Muskogee for assistance. Childers, who is half-Indian, sought help with medical expenses incurred due to an operation in 1958, hoping to benefit from the free hospitalization available to Indians in Oklahoma.</dc:description></oai_dc:dc>
