A list of changes was agreed upon, and legislation to amend the act and repeal it was proposed. The Bureau of Indian Affairs and Congressional offices were involved in working out the language of the legislation. A bill was introduced to complete the action for the Choctaw Tribe authorized by the Act of April 26, 1906.
