- The Oklahoma State Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials passed a resolution authorizing Indian Housing Authorities to organize a meeting with the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation and HUD officials to seek support for the continuation of the Mutual-Help Housing Program for the Indian segment. Governor Overton James was appointed as the official spokesman for the group of delegates. The resolution was sent to Senator Dewey Bartlett for his support.
