- Description:
- Reuben K. Sparks wrote to the Indian Agency at Muskogee seeking information about the heirs of Sam Belew, an enrolled Cherokee Indian who passed away before 1920. The Indian Agency did not have any record of Sam Belew, but there was a Sam Ballou on the rolls, who was deceased. Sparks was informed that further information would be provided once available. Congressman Page Belcher was also involved in the inquiry.
