- Description:
- Senator Fred R. Harris received a request for assistance in determining the tribal affiliation of Mrs. Roberta Dotson, whose father was either Chickasaw or Choctaw Indian. The Bureau of Indian Affairs examined records but could not find information on Mrs. Dotson's father. Enrollment rolls for the tribes were closed in 1907, and no changes can be made. Senator Harris promised to stay in touch with Mrs. Dotson and provide updates on the matter.
