Mrs. Cumsey was unable to defend herself in court due to health issues and financial constraints. The Indian Bureau advised that the land in question was not taxable and did not belong to her. Despite Mrs. Cumsey's efforts to reclaim the land, it was determined that she did not have a legal claim to it.";
