- Description:
- Mr. David DuShane, Jr. wrote to Congressman Schwabe requesting for the hearings on Indian claims and Indian attorneys to be printed at government expense and sent to all Indian tribes and their lawyers. Congressman Schwabe responded stating that he does not have the authority to do so and suggested that copies of the hearings can be obtained by writing to the Representative in Congress. Schwabe explained that there are some things even a Congressman cannot do, and expressed his willingness to serve but noted the limitations of his authority.
