<dcterms:description>Congress has intervened to stop the federal Public Roads Administration from imposing its own projects on Oklahoma's highway program. The $500 million federal aid highway bill passed with the intention that states, not the PRA, would initiate projects. Oklahoma's program was planned with input from citizens and the state's congressional delegation supported Governor Turner in opposing the PRA's actions. The bill now goes to the senate for further action.</dcterms:description>
