<dcterms:description>Mr. Lona Paul is in dire need of help and has reached out to Honorable Carl Albert for information regarding the Choctaw settlement. The Bureau of Indian Affairs in Muskogee has provided information stating that it may take some time, possibly years, before the settlement is made. The Act of August 25, 1959, authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to sell Choctaw tribal lands and distribute funds, but no decision has been made yet on the distribution of funds. The formation of a corporate entity under Oklahoma State Law is under consideration, with a deadline of August 25, 1965. Mr. Paul is anxious about the settlement and is seeking information on when they will receive their share.</dcterms:description>

<dcterms:description>The document from Harry J.W. Belvin, Principal Chief of the Choctaw Nation, to Robert H. Breeden, Director of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, addresses concerns about the allocation of housing units to the Choctaw Nation. Belvin requests information on management problems that need to be rectified before the allocation can be finalized. He also questions the allocation of units to other tribes and asks for transparency in the allocation process. Breeden responds, explaining the allocation process and the requirements for management clearance. He also outlines areas that the Choctaw Housing Authority needs to address before receiving additional units. Breeden assures Belvin that the authority can correct its problems in a short period of time.</dcterms:description>

<dcterms:description>The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians expresses general support for the Indian Self-Determination and Educational Reform Act, but is not satisfied with the provisions related to Indian educational reform.
