This is the first agreement of its kind with a native American tribal organization, allowing trained consultants to visit and advise employers on safety hazards. The agreement also includes continued training for the consultants and is expected to result in 80 consultation visits by September 30, 1983. The visits are separate from OSHA inspections and employers are only required to commit to correcting any serious hazards identified by the consultants. Text
